June | Morton Real Estate Joins Forces with ReLove for a Day of Giving Back

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Morton Real Estate recently partnered with ReLove, a Sydney-based charity dedicated to furnishing homes for people in crisis, for a corporate volunteer day that left a lasting impact on both the volunteers and the families they served.

Held at ReLove’s Alexandria warehouse, the event brought together a team of Morton staff eager to roll up their sleeves and contribute to ReLove’s mission: creating homes with kindness. ReLove rescues quality furniture and household items from businesses and individuals, redistributing them to people transitioning out of homelessness, domestic violence, or other vulnerable situations, all at no cost and with no red tape

The Morton team spent the day organising and styling the ReLove Free Store, packing soft furnishings and kitchen essentials, and assisting clients in selecting items to furnish their new homes. Some volunteers even helped with deliveries, assembling furniture and making beds to ensure each space felt welcoming and dignified.

For Jenny Dias, the office leader at Morton’s Green Square office, the experience was deeply moving. “Helping someone choose a couch or a set of dishes might seem small, but you realise it’s about so much more than furniture—it’s about restoring dignity, creating a safe space to call home and giving people in our very own community a fresh start,” she said. “It was one of the most rewarding days I’ve had in a long time.”

ReLove’s volunteer-powered model thrives on days like these, where corporate teams bring energy, compassion, and practical support. The charity regularly hosts groups of 10–15 volunteers, though it has accommodated teams of up to 100. These days not only help scale ReLove’s operations but also foster a sense of purpose and connection among participants.

Morton Real Estate’s involvement is part of a broader commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. “We’re proud to support ReLove and the incredible work they do,” said Morton’s New Business Consultant Emma Ryan. “It’s important to us that we give back in meaningful ways, and this partnership allows us to do just that.”

The collaboration also highlights the power of corporate volunteering to create tangible change. By dedicating time and effort to ReLove’s cause, Morton’s team helped transform empty spaces into homes filled with comfort and hope.
